No one told me how much teething hurts!! I have been one unhappy boy the last couple days. Mommy has tried frozen washcloths, teething rings, Tylenol, teething tablets, rubbing my gums BUT nothing is helping!! I can even feel the tooth with my fingers. I woke up last night crying because it hurt so bad. Mommy and daddy would love any suggestions on how to make teething more bearable for me AND them!! They would love to have their happy boy back again!!!!

Hmm what am I suppose to do now?

Today, mommy and I took a little trip early this morning to my friend Luke's house. Luke's mommy had to go to work, so Luke and I got to play together ALL morning. Luke was very nice about sharing his toys with me. I tried to give him a hug to say thank you but it didn't quite work. After I ate breakfast, mommy gave Luke a bottle and tried to lay him down but he screamed and screamed. Boy he can be really loud when he wants to be!! Mommy tried and tried but nothing was working. I didn't like mommy spending all that time with Luke so I decided to let her know how I felt! Mommy didn't know what to do with 2 crying babies who both needed naps. Finally Luke and I fell asleep, but I didn't sleep very long. Everytime I moved the bed did too. That was a little scary. BUT...I did get mommy to myself for awhile and we got to play with some of Luke's cool toys. After Luke woke up, we played together for a little bit and then it was lunchtime. I wasn't quite sure about that! I wanted to eat it all but mommy had Luke and I wait for turns. After lunch and Luke's bottle, mommy tried naptime again. I wouldn't let mommy get to far...I wanted to play! Mommy and I played some more and I took a little snooze on mommy's lap while we waited for Luke's mommy to come home. I think mommy is pretty tired, but I heard her tell daddy and Luke's mommy (Jenn) that she wants me to have a brother or sister soon. HMMMMMM I'm not sure what I think about that. Let me ponder that for awhile, but until then

I can pull myself up from sitting to standing!! While mommy and daddy were getting ready for church, mommy sat me in my crib and when she came back in I had pulled myself up and was standing holding on to my crib. Of course then I had to do it again for daddy. Watch out world! I'm going to be on the move soon!

I can stand by myself

well sort of. I usually have to hold on to something but today I stood a couple of seconds in my crib while mommy was getting my bath towel. I'd like to think that I can stand without holding on but everytime I try and let go I timber (as mommy and daddy like to say) Everyone says that I am going to be walking soon. I can't wait to walk and chase our puppies and kitties around the house. (Note to mommy and daddy: Put up a gate soon) Well that's all...

Not much to update

On Sunday morning at church, I got to play with Grant and Sarah. I really like playing with them. Mommy even stood me up in the pew and I stood up all by myself. I'm getting to be such a big boy! Later on Sunday mommy and daddy went grocery shopping to restock the fridge. I started getting tired and cranky, so mommy got me ready for bed in the car and I was out like a light. On Monday, mommy and I did some errdaands and spent some time outside. It was really nice and just the right temperature...But boy how things change. Tuesday and Wednesday were HOT and I didn't want to go outside any more after our walk.

This weekend, mommy, daddy and I are going to try and get together with one of daddy's friends, Dr. Finnie and his wife Lynn and their children. I hope we all can play together.

6:30-7am Wake up and have some milk
8am Breakfast
8:15-8:45 Walk

What's that BUZZZ?

Oh that would be power finally!! After 3 days of not sleeping in my own bed, I finally get to sleep in my own bed again and it feels soooo good.

Mommy and daddy had some work to do though. They had to empty out our freezer and refrigerator of almost everything. I'm glad that none of my food had to be thrown away. Mommy also had laundry to do. Having no power was exciting for a little bit, but I'm glad that all the lights are back on and that I get to sleep in my comfy crib again and not the pack n play.

Mommy and daddy told me that we did have a little scare Saturday afternoon. A tree limb touched a wire in our neighbor's backyard and caused a large BOOM and a little fire in the trees. My friends from the fire department came but they didn't get to use their hoses because the electric company was already cutting down limbs. The power was out for about 30 minutes, but I slept the entire time.

Where did the lights go?

Wednesday night was pretty scary although I slept through most of it. It all started after I went to sleep. Daddy called mommy and told her that there was some bad weather coming. After mommy hung up with daddy the lights flickered a few times and went completely out. That meant NO fans, air conditioning, music, lights or TV. Mommy heard the tornado sirens go off and took me downstairs to the basement. I woke up for a little bit but as the winds calmed mommy and I went to survey the damage. The tree that was in our front yard fell down but luckily didn't hit the house and there are leaves everywhere.

Some of our neighbors have shingles off their roof, but mommy and daddy says our roof is fine. We ended up sleeping in the basement because it was cooler. On Thursday though, it got really really HOT so mommy called Luke's mommy and we were going to go to his house but Mommy and I were really tired so she called greatgrandma instead and we went to hang out at her house for the day and napped. I got to see my Great Uncle too because he came over to check on us a few times. We went back to our house to check on my puppies and kitties but it was really HOT. Grandma came over and we had dinner and then we went back to greatgrandma's house and stayed there. I also got to see my great aunt again and 3 of my 2nd cousins. I really liked playing with Larry. His dog, Pierre is pretty funny too. He gave me kisses all over the place...and I laughed and laughed.

I had a hard time going to sleep but once I did, I slept all night long! In the morning, I got up and had breakfast and played with Larry and Chris and after they left, Mommy and I went for a walk. More storms are coming but I hope we get to go home again soon. I miss my bed. :(

More proof that I am a monkey

I have learned how to grab the animals on my swing's mobile and I try to make them spin all by myself. I also have just started to sit up in my swing. I'm glad mommy buckles me in because otherwise I think I might try to tumble out on my HEAD! When I swing like a monkey, I also make sounds like a monkey. Mommy and Daddy laugh at me so I do it more. It is pretty funny. Mommy says that she will try to get a picture of me, but I am always in motion in my swing so it is hard to do.

Good Night, Sleep Tight

Mommy decided that I needed a schedule because I have not been wanting to take afternoon naps or sleeping through the night. Mommy heard from my friend Aiden's mom about the Sleep Lady. Yesterday was my first day trying it out. I wasn't too happy about taking my afternoon nap, but I did sleep for 2 hrs and I felt so much better. I went to bed without too much crying, but I woke up at midnight and I wanted mommy! She tried and tried to get me to go back to sleep the way that the Sleep lady said but I would not go to sleep. She gave me a little drink and I was asleep until this morning. When mommy and daddy came in to get me up, I had a surprise for them! I had managed to untie my bumper tie and I was playing with the bumper and the tag. It was pretty funny. Mommy says that she wishes she would have taken a picture!I think I might like this schedule...once I get use to it, but shhhh don't tell mommy. ;)OUT

HOT HOT HOT

It's been HOT HOT HOT so I haven't spent a lot of time outside. I have been going swimming though. I really like playing in the water. I have learned how to splash and I can even float on my back by myself for a very short time. I can sort of doggy paddle to as long as mommy or daddy are holding on to me. I like to hold on to them while I move my other arm and legs. I don't seem to get anywhere though. :( My friend Marc and his mommy and daddy came over and swam with me last week. I even shared my baby float with him. He needed it more then me. I liked playing with him, but all that swimming is hard work for a little guy like me.Daddy had last week off work so I got to play with him every day! I had so much fun. Maybe he will take off in October again for a week. (HINT HINT)Like I said, it's been HOT so I don't really have much to say...except OUT

My tricks

I have definitely learned how to roll over and scoot all over the place especially in my crib. Mommy and daddy never know where they are going to find me lying in my crib. Sometimes I sleep on my tummy, sometimes on my side and sometimes on my back. Sometimes I lay towards the window and sometimes I lay towards the closet and even sometimes I lay across my crib but I'm getting so big that I don't exactly fit. I love being a little monkey.OUT

Daddy's Birthday

Monday was a little different. Mommy and Daddy started a new sleep routine with me. I'm not quite used to it yet, but we'll see. One neat thing is we went for a walk around the neighborhood before it got too hot. Then after my nap, Mommy and Daddy picked up Grandma and we went to Noodles and Co. It was Daddy's Birthday! Things were fun for awhile, especially eating squash. But then I started getting cranky. I was tirrrrrrrred. Later, Mommy gave Daddy his birthday cards from us, and a DVD...whatever THAT is. Best of all, he got a yummy looking ice cream cake from DQ. Mommy and Daddy wouldn't give me any. How fair is that!?! Later on, when I woke up briefly, I thought I heard them both splashing around in the pool. Hey! I didn't think they'd do that without me! Well, the Cardinals are getting shelled by the Braves, so I'm OUT!

Trip to the doctor

I went today for my 6 month check up. I am getting so big. Dr. Rezabek was very happy with me and mommy and daddy. He said I am doing great! But then he left and the MA came in and gave me 3 shots. :( Even though mommy was holding me, I cried for a bit. I heard her tell mommy that next time I only get one shot. I hope that I am almost done with all those shots!!

Head: 18 1/2 inches (upper 97%tile)

Mommy and daddy weren't too surprised by any of my stats because I am wearing 9 month clothes now. Mommy has had to put away some of my favorite outfits because they don't fit me anymore. Maybe I will have a brother someday that will be able to wear them.I get to start eating fruits on Sunday. I can't wait! I heard that they are really sweet and I like my sweet foods.Well I think that is about it.OUT

I have gotten so big in the last 6 1/2 months. I started out at 9 pounds 9 ounces and now I weigh 21 pounds 13 1/2 ounces and still growing.

My first road trip!!

After being sick for a week and not sure if we were going to go, mommy and daddy decided Friday that we were all well enough to embark on my first road trip. On Saturday after packing up the car and picking up grandma to pet sit, we were off to Bloomington, IL to see my friend Aiden's daddy get ordained and installed as a pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church. On the way, we made a stop in Springfield so daddy could get his record fix and mommy and I window shopped. I was happy to get out of my carseat again and stretch my legs. We stopped to eat and I got to sit in a highchair all by myself. I did really good but I really wanted to chew on the table and mommy and daddy wouldn't let me so I let them know how unhappy I was. After we all ate, we were on our way again. I took a little catnap in the car so I could be wide awake while we explored Bloomington-Normal. After we checked in our hotel, I had fun playing on the bed with daddy before bedtime. I slept in my pack and play for the first time and I almost slept all night except I heard mommy and daddy talking and I wanted to talk to them. Daddy got me out and put me in bed with him and mommy. I like sleeping next to them. When we got up on Sunday, we went to church and then did some more exploring before the ordination and installation service. It was a long time sitting still and I didn't like that, so mommy and I walked around the back of the church for awhile. I didn't see my friend Aiden until the very end and then I was so excited to see him and I think he was excited to see me too!! I wish I could see him more often. Mommy and Daddy said that maybe we would be able to see him again if we take a trip up to Chicago. At the reception, I had my first taste of icing and cake. On our way out of town, mommy and daddy lost my daytime eeyore and they spent a long time looking for it. I was happy that they had remembered nighttime eeyore because I was really sleepy. I slept most of the way back home until we stopped to eat in Litchfield. Mommy snuck me some potato and some applesauce. I made some really funny faces eating the applesauce. It was really tart. Once we were back on the road again, I napped some but woke up once we were back in St. Louis and I was NOT happy about still being in my carseat. I made sure mommy and daddy knew that too. Once we got home, I was happy to be home and to see grandma. It was a busy weekend, but I hope we go on a roadtrip again sometime.Mommy said she will post some pictures of me in the highchair and some of me and my friend Aiden soon, so be sure to look for them.Later.

My first baseball game

Last night, mommy and daddy took me to my first baseball game. Daddy thought it was just going to be the 3 of us, but mommy surprised him and invited my friend Marc and his mommy and daddy and our friends Sara, Jake and Aunt Tab. Daddy was really surprised. I liked being at the game but I didn't like it when people cheered. They were really loud and it scared me. The Cardinals lost to the Reds 7-0. :( I fell asleep during the 9th inning so I didn't get to see the final outs but I didn't miss anything. I wish the Cards would have won...well maybe next time.

Last night I got to play with Aunt Tab while mommy and daddy were both at work. I didn't get to play with her for too long because I was tired but we played for a bit and sang songs. Maybe next time, I'll get to play with her for a longer time.

Sick!

Mommy and I have both been sick!! :( I have a yucky cough and mommy just doesn't feel good. Mommy called Dr. Rezabek's office yesterday and they told her that something is going around. I feel a little bit better today. I hope I'm better by this weekend since it is Father's Day. I can't wait to give daddy his gift. I think he will be so surprised.

That's it from me...it hasn't been too exciting. I can't wait to feel better so I can go swimming in my new pool. Maybe my friends will come over to play too.

My first trip to Grant's Farm

Daddy is off work today so mommy, daddy and I went to Grant's Farm. I really liked riding in the tram and seeing all the animals on the farm. Mommy and I fed the goats but I didn't like them all that much. Not only were they drinking milk from a bottle like I do, they liked to nibble on my toes. I was glad when mommy and I left the goat area. I had a fun time watching all the people walk by. I also saw a llama spit on a man. It was pretty funny. After we looked in the carriage house and at the horses, I was ready for lunch. Mommy found a shady spot and we ate lunch. Then I was wiped out and took a little catnap but I was wide awake for my tram ride back to the station even though there wasn't much to see on the way back.

When we got home, I made a mess out of my carrots and after a little drink, I was down for the long afternoon snooze. I have to save up my energy afterall, because tonight I get to see my friend Ernie and his mommy and daddy. We are going to dinner and then maybe to this place called the Magic House. I hope that they have fun things for me to play with.

First trip to the Magic House

Last night mommy, daddy and I went to the Magic House with my friend Ernie and his mommy and daddy. I had so much fun playing in the ball pit and playing in the water. I also really liked it when mommy was playing the xylophone. I couldn't help laughing. Music is really neat. I hope we get to go back again soon. Maybe some of my other friends can join me. I would love to show them the area just for us and the Waterworks area.

Today after my nap, mommy says we have some errands to run and we are going to go see daddy at work. Mommy says if it doesn't rain, I may get to try out my new pool when daddy gets home. I can't wait. I love water!!

Father's Day!

While Daddy slept this morning, I could hear Mommy sneaking around the house. She was getting Daddy's Father's Day presents ready. I got him some Cardinal tickets, a T-Shirt (with MY picture on it), and a cool frame with some words I can't quite read yet...and another picture of me. He really liked them. Then we picked up Grandma and went to the big room where everyone smiles at me at the end. AKA church! We drove by the cemetery and Daddy knelt by where his dad is buried. He says he would've loved to play with me if he was still alive. (And talk about baseball.)
Later on today, we're going to see Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Rick, and my friend, Billy! I will see you later. Until then, I am...OUT!

Mommy and Daddy bought a pool just for me and I finally got to get in it for the first time today. The water was COLD! (even though it was hot outside) I got to sit in my new little float and float around the pool with my sunglasses on. I really liked all the water and I really like my Spiderman swimmers. Mommy says that we are going to go swimming everyday. I hope that I don't have to go underwater again. I didn't like that so much, even though mommy and daddy were right there. Well sort of. I have decided that I don't like my baby float and I would rather stand in the pool and splash everything in sight. Tonight, mommy was holding my hands and I took a few steps in the water. I also floated on my back and on my belly. I kept wanting to taste the water. I learned that you can't float on your back and grab your toes. It doesn't work so well. I LOVE swimming. I'm so glad mommy talked daddy into getting a pool.

I also got some new toys today. I got a LeapFrog piano that I love to play and a stacking toy that lights up and plays songs. I hope my friends can come over and see them soon. I also like to sit up on my own although after awhile I get tired and topple over. Mommy is always there to catch me though. Well I think that's about it...swimming wore me out.

Mommy and I have been sick!

Mommy has been much sicker then I have. Daddy even stayed home from work on Friday to help take care of me and mommy. I wish mommy was feeling better. I miss her holding me and giving me kisses. She took me to the doctor's on Monday because she thought I was getting worse, but the PNP said I was doing fine and that mommy and daddy were doing a great job. Guess what though! I weigh 20 pounds and 10 1/2 oz!! I'm getting so big!

Mommy also went to the doctor on Monday. I had a great time flirting and talking to everyone in the office. Mommy got some medicine so I hope she starts feeling better again soon.

Since mommy is updating this blog with everything from my first website, she is getting tired of copying and pasting everything so this is going to be one long blog for the month of May.

Not much happening
Date: 5/4/2006

Not much has been happening lately. Mommy had an interview for a new job last week. I know that she would really like this job, but that means that I won't get to spend as much time with her as I do now, and I don't know if I like that idea. I like having mommy home with me.Over the weekend, mommy and daddy took me to my first bookfair. It was really fun. Mommy bought me some more books to read. I really like them.On Tuesday, mommy and I met up with my friend Tyler and his mommy and we went to the park. It was so nice being outside. We went to Laumeier Sculpture Park. The sculptures were interesting but I'm not so sure I understand them though.I have started sleeping more. Mommy and daddy are so happy. After going to bed around 8:30, I'm waking up at 1ish to eat and then again at 4ish, but I don't want to eat then, I just want mommy and daddy close by. I'm also taking longer naps during the day so mommy is able to get things done in the house. I like when I sleep good because then I'm in such a good mood when I wake up.I'm ready to play with some of my toys, so I'm OUT!

I am back from my four month old checkup and according to the PNP, I am doing great. Even though I am fighting a little cold, I was all smiles for everyone in the office. I even blew raspberries at the nurse while she was getting everything for my shots ready...I was hoping to distract her so she would forget about giving me those awful shots, but it didn't work! I was of course not too thrilled about getting the shots, but stopped crying as soon as mommy picked me up. I promptly fell asleep in the car on the way home. What a rough morning for a 4 month old!

First Mother's Day

Today is mommy's first mother's day. Daddy and I bought mommy a calla lilly plant that we can plant outside. Mommy really likes it. She even got tears in her eyes when she saw it. We went to church with grandma today. I like going to church and seeing all my friends. I love smiling at everyone too! :) After my nap, we are going to go to the Cheesecake Factory since Mommy and Daddy were going to go before I was born but they didn't since I decided to come early. I can't wait. I'm going to be on my best behavior so mommy and daddy will take me again someday.Well that's all for now. I'll write more later.OUT

Day after Mother's Day

Well, we went to the Cheesecake Factory yesterday. I was good for the most part although towards the end, I started to get tired and cranky, but once mommy took me outside to look at everyone, I was happy. I fell asleep and slept until mommy and daddy took me to Cold Stone Creamery for dessert. Mommy sat in the backseat with me one the way home from there and I slept the rest of the way home.On Monday, Mommy took me to see her students. I wasn't too happy about that although as long as mommy was moving and people were paying attention to me, I was fine. I didn't like it when they stopped. After that, we went and picked up my pictures so mommy could mail them to Grandma Carol, Nicole and Greatgrandma. I hope that they like them.When we got home, I helped mommy make dinner for daddy and then I had some green beans for dinner. I like putting my hand in my mouth after eating them and getting them everywhere. Mommy had to give me a bath because I was so messy.Well that was my day... I hope you had a good day. OUT

Mommy's induction

Tonight I went with mommy and daddy to mommy's induction into Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society. I was sad that mommy couldn't sit with us so I cried until daddy took me out. Once I saw mommy after the ceremony, I was a little bit happier. I met a little girl who tried to give me some pretzels, but daddy wouldn't let me have any. :( Doesn't he know that I am ready to eat the same food that he and mommy eat...I don't care that I don't have teeth yet. Mommy and Daddy's anniversary weekend

Mommy and Daddy have been married for 2 whole years! I can't believe it. That seems like a really long time to me.Daddy took a 4 day weekend and we have had fun. On Friday, we let mommy sleep in and daddy and I played until I got hungry and I woke mommy up. Then after mommy, daddy and I played for awhile, we took grandma to the eye doctor. It really wasn't very exciting. On Saturday, mommy left me home with daddy while she went and got pretty. She's always pretty to me, but she got really pretty. Then mommy, daddy and I went to the mall so daddy could buy an anniversary card for mommy. Mommy ended up not having to work, so I got to play with her until bedtime.On Sunday, we all went to church and then to brunch. After running home, we went to Art on the Square. I really liked seeing all the people and the pretty artwork. I didn't like it when mommy and daddy took me to the main stage. It was loud with people singing and playing instruments.I think mommy and daddy got lost on the way home, but I slept most of the time. Aunt Tab came over and we watched mommy and daddy's wedding video. I really liked listening to the music and seeing mommy and daddy on TV. After Aunt Tab left, mommy fed me some peas. I really really liked them. Mommy said she will help me put pictures of me eating the peas in my photo album soon. Well so far that's it...so I'm OUT.

Discoveries

Did you know that we have 2 dogs? They are funny. They let me pet them as long as I don't pull their tails. They like to lick my fingers and toes. I think it is pretty funny but daddy yells at them to stop.Did you know that I have 2 feet? I like to lay on my back and play with my toes. I have even held onto them while rolling around on the floor.Did you know that I like to stand up? I'm so glad that Aunt Renee and Uncle Brad gave me the ExerSaucer. I love when I get to stand in it and play with all the fun toys. Mommy puts toys on it and I like to throw them on the floor.Did you know I like to throw? The other night daddy was holding me and I took Eeyore (my pacifer) and threw it across the living room. I also like to throw my frog rattle on the floor. Maybe I'll be a baseball pitcher when I'm bigger and make mommy and daddy lots of money.Mommy says today that we are going to see my friend Luke. I can't wait. I haven't seen him in a long time. I can't wait to show him my toes.OUT

Busy holiday weekend--and I'm 5 months old!!!

I need a break! I had a very very busy weekend. It all started on Friday when mommy and I had lunch with Jenn and Luke. Then Friday evening, we had dinner with Steve's co workers. On Saturday, Aunt Tab came over for a little bit while mommy and daddy cleaned out the garage and got ready for the BBQ. I had fun playing with Aunt Tab, but she wore me out. I even laughed at her while she was playing with the tape measure. Sunday, we all got up early and picked up grandma and went to church. It was my friend, Aiden's last day at church. He's moving to Bloomington, IL. I'm going to miss talking to him at church. Mommy and Daddy says that we are going to try and visit in July. After church, we dropped grandma off at her house and we came home and got ready for my first BBQ.I had so much fun at the BBQ, that I hope mommy and daddy have one again. I got to see my friends, Marc and Luke. Marc and Luke really liked my exersaucer but I'm not so sure I like sharing it with them. I watched them the whole time they were in it. I didn't want to take a nap because I was afraid I was going to miss something, so I slept all through the night for mommy and daddy.On Monday, we went to the Greek Festival. It was fun but I really wanted some of mommy's food. Her salad and pastitsmo looked really good. I tried to get some of her baklava sundae but she wiped my hands off. I was hoping that after I stuck my hand in it, she would let me put it in my mouth....but she didn't. :(I don't like taking naps anymore even though I get really cranky when I don't sleep. There is so much to discover that I don't want to miss one second of it.My new discovery this weekend was that my toes taste good. I got them in my mouth this weekend and they were pretty tasty. Mommy just laughed when she saw me so I guess it is ok that I do it.Well I'm sleepy, so OUT.PS stay tuned for more pictures and my new measurements.

ZOO again!

Yesterday I went to the zoo with my friends Luke and Tyler. I stayed awake the whole time we were there. It was pretty cold, so we only went to Rivers Edge. I got to see Raja and Ellie and all the other elephants. I also got to see some hippos and 2 little black bears. Mommy also got me a stuffed tree frog that we named Leap. Luke's mommy thinks that it looks pretty scary because of it's bright orange eyes, but I like chewing on it.After the zoo, we came home for a bit but then we went on a hunt for a frog roly poly because Homer ate the one that the easter bunny got for me. I slept almost the entire trip especially because mommy got lost and we were in the car for a long time. Daddy was very happy when he got home that mommy found another frog.I decided last night that I didn't want to sleep in my own bed. I wanted to cuddle with mommy so I spent most of the night in bed with mommy and daddy. Mommy keeps telling me that I will have to sleep in my own bed...but I keep telling her we'll see.I know mommy is very tired today so I'm going to go to bed for a little bit.OUT

My weekend

On Saturday, mommy, daddy and I went to Suson Park to see the farm animals. I slept most of the time, but I woke up in the barn with the horses and cows. They are smelly!! I'm glad we didn't stay too long.On Sunday, after church, mommy and I went to see Aunt Renee, Uncle Brad, Jake, Cole and Cooper to celebrate Cooper's first birthday. I had lots of fun smiling at everyone. I really liked Cooper's swing. Cooper even gave me a little push when it slowed down. Cooper even let me borrow his exersaucer. I really like standing in it and playing with the toys. I like making noise with the beads. It's lots of fun! I'll have mommy post pictures of me in it soon.Tomorrow mommy says that we are going to the zoo with Tyler and Luke if it doesn't rain. Sad day:(

Today was a sad day for mommy. On our way to Target, she saw some mail trucks pulled off on the side of the road. She realized that it was for Pfc. James F. Costello III, an Oakville HS graduate who died over in Iraq. And even though Mommy didn't know him, she pulled off into a parking lot and took me out of my carseat so we could watch the funeral processional. There were lots of people driving by. Some smiled and waved at me but I know mommy was sad. There were two girls waving an American flag and some other people holding a flag up. Mommy gave me a big hug and told me that she hopes that I will never be forced into the armed services. She also told me how much she loves me. It was neat seeing all the motorcycles going by. Mommy said that they were all veterans of wars and they were paying their respect to Pfc. James F. Costello III.I hope that I never am forced to go to war. I can't imagine mommy and daddy being so sad.OUT

My first trip to the St. Louis ZOO

Today mommy and I met up with Tyler and his mommy at the ZOO. It was the first time that I have ever been to a zoo. I saw peguins, puffins, apes, tigers, bears, giraffes and a bunch of other animals. I had lots of fun. It was warm though. I'm glad that mommy kept me covered most of the time. I didn't get sunburned at all. Mommy is really red though.I am all pooped out. I hope we get to go again with more of my friends.OUT!Oh I have some pictures of me at the zoo in my photo albums.

My first Easter!

On Saturday, I spent some time with daddy while mommy had some 'mommy time'. I missed mommy and I let daddy know about it! I think daddy was ready to cry himself. He wanted mommy home. Daddy and I met up with mommy and great grandma and my aunts, uncle and cousins for an Easter meal. I slept most of the time, but when I woke up, mommy took me out of my carseat to see everyone. I had a little bit of an accident on mommy. I really liked seeing everyone. I really like my Cousin Chris. He gave me some pudding. It was pretty good.That night grandma came over and we went to church. I slept the entire time! Mommy and daddy were so surprised. I'm not sure why since daddy plays his music louder then they did at church. :) I felt like I was at home.On Sunday, I got up early to see what the Easter Bunny brought me. He gave me an Easter Basket, a bunny, a frog and a book about the first Easter. After we went to church, we went to Brunch and I got to meet the Easter bunny again. Check out my photo album because I added some pictures of me and the easter bunny. After brunch, mommy,daddy, grandma and I went to Forest Park and took some pictures. It is so pretty there but it was very windy! My hat almost blew off and I really like my hat so I'm glad grandma caught it for me.Later, while daddy did some lawn work, mommy took me outside to watch. Someday I'm going to cut the grass for daddy. It looks fun.Stay tuned for more pictures this week. Mommy says that we might do to the zoo later this week. I love animals. Easter Bunny

Yesterday Luke and I met the Easter Bunny and you know what...he wasn't scary at all. Mommy was going to take me to see Daddy, but I had an accident so we came home and played. Busy week!

Wow...I didn't realize it had almost been a week since I last wrote. I have been very busy! I forgot to tell you, I met David Robertson. In case you don't know, he's the conductor of the St. Louis Symphony. Mommy and Daddy really like him. The last time I heard him conduct, it was pretty muffled. Maybe mommy and daddy will take me a concert again now that it won't be so muffled. I went to my friend Ernie's birthday party. It was the first birthday party I ever went to. I can't wait until my birthday. But mommy and daddy keep saying that they don't want me growing up too fast. After the party, Mommy, Daddy and I went to meet some of daddy's friends from work. I got to see my friend Marc and I also met a new friend. Her name was Nora. Even though I wasn't too happy at first, once my tummy was full, Marc, Nora and I talked for a bit before I got too tired and I fell asleep while mommy was holding me.On Sunday,I got to play with my friend Luke while our mommies and daddies talked and watched LOST. I had a lot of fun. Daddy took some pictures of me and Luke so I will have to post them soon for you to see.

Tuesday mommy took me to my doctor's office because she thought I was pulling on my ears. I was, but not because they hurt. I was pulling on them because daddy showed me where they were and I was trying to show mommy and daddy that I knew where they were. The doctor did say that I have something called Reflux. So now I have to take Mylanta and Zantac. I like the Mylanta, but I don't like the Zantac at ALL. It takes yucky!! Mommy gives me Eeyore after I take it so that makes it a little bit better.

Today when Mommy took me outside for a walk, I laughed and laughed. It's fun being outside. I can't wait until I can play outside.Mommy says that tomorrow I'm going to see Luke and Jenn and we are going to see the Easter bunny. I like bunnies but this sounds a little different then my little bunny. I hope he's not scary.Well mommy says it's medicine time, then off to bed.OUT

Tuesday/Wednesday

On Tuesday, mommy and I had lunch with her friends from St. John's. I slept almost the whole time. When I woke up, mommy let Mandy fed me. Mandy did ok, but I really just wanted mommy. I hope Mandy wasn't upset.

I decided last night that I didn't want to sleep in my crib. I woke mommy and daddy up at 11p, 2a and 5a. At 2am, mommy put me in bed with her and I got to eat anytime I wanted. I was comfy all snuggled up to mommy but I don't think mommy and daddy were all that comfy. Mommy and daddy seemed pretty tired today. Daddy played with me when mommy went to work this morning. I was happy for the most part, but then I realized mommy wasn't around and I got cranky. I got to go to grandma B's house though and see mommy when she got off work. After mommy fed me, I took a long nap and then mommy and I played and she sang me "Take me out to the ballgame." I like that song.Well it's bedtime so I'm OUT

Sunday

Today mommy and I went to church by ourselves because daddy was too tired. I'm not sure why HE was tired...it isn't like I woke up at 5am and stayed awake until daddy put me into bed with mommy so mommy could feed me. I was happy then. :)After church mommy and I had brunch with Aunt Lisa, Ernie and Aunt Monica. I really like Ernie. He let me play with his toy car. Tonight mommy took me down to the basement because it was raining really hard and the sky was a green color. But we were all ok and safe.Well, I'm ready for bed so I'm OUT
