Mommy, Daddy and I wish you a very HAPPY, SAFE and HEALTHY
2007!
On Saturday, mommy, daddy and I went to Way of Lights at the Shine of Our Lady of the Snows. I slept the entire way there and through most of the lights, but mommy and daddy woke me up to see all the animals at the petting zoo. I got to see some sheep, a camel, some goats and some deer. Mommy and daddy tried to get my picture with the animals but those animals are fast! Here's a picture of me and mommy petting a goat...
After waiting FOREVER...we got to eat at the Shine too. I really liked their mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots. Mommy even let me try some jello, applesauce and angel food cake. It was all so yummy! Maybe next year I'll stay up the whole time to see all the neat lights.
Cleo is the black one...
Today, my PAT educator, Amy, came to play with me. She brought me a basket of all these really neat toys! I loved playing with all the balls and the Kooshy ball. Amy said that I am definitely advanced for my age so mommy and daddy were very excited about that. I also got to show off my walking. I was cruising around everywhere while she was here. I'm getting so big that I don't need to hold on to anything when I walk nowadays. I like to follow mommy and daddy wherever they go and I really don't like it when they go into another room without me especially if the gate is closed.
Mommy has been so busy with her practicum lately that I think I see more of Dusty and daddy then I get to see mommy. I'm glad that she will be done soon! I miss her playing with me during the day.
We are getting ready for Christmas. On Saturday, mommy and daddy put up the Christmas lights and mommy is going to put up the tree while daddy is at work tonight. I can't wait until presents start appearing. I'm going to write my letter to Santa this week. I'll be sure to post it on here since I have heard that Santa has the internet nowadays and maybe he will read my blog.
I have been up to so many new things! I can feed myself. I love eating yogurt and grilled cheese sandwiches. I have 8 teeth now so I have also learned how to bit mommy's finger when she is trying to use the toothbrush. I'm walking so much more now all by myself. When I went to the doctor I was almost 27 pounds! They didn't measure me this time since I was only there for a flu shot, and mommy forgot. Silly mommy! I think Homer and Otis are so funny. I have already learned to feed Homer when I am done with my food. Mommy and Daddy tell me to stop and NO, but I sneak him food when they aren't looking. I have been having so much fun playing with Dusty and Aunt Nicole when mommy and daddy are at work. I have also learned that I now can echo at church and I love to talk when Pastor or Vicar are talking. Mommy and daddy try to read to me, but I want nothing to do with that during church, afterall, I have to let Pastor and Vicar know what I think! That's all that is new with me...enjoy my new pictures!
Since we had a big ice storm that knocked out our power and a lot of our family and friends' power, I got to play with my friend Billy in a warm hotel that Billy and his mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa, aunt and cousins were staying at until their power came back on. Billy and I watched the Little Einsteins together. I haven't seen Billy in a long time so it was fun playing with him!
We all fall down!
I spent my First Thanksgiving with all of our family. I got to see GreatAunt Donna, GreatAunt Kathy, GreatUncle Darrel, Cousins Kate, Josh, Carlos, Alvin, Chris, Robin, Loreal, Larry, and Christopher AND Grandma B and GreatGrandma! Whew! I think I got everyone. I had so much fun playing with everyone and walking everywhere I could. Mommy even let me eat some turkey, some mashed potatoes and some stuffing
.
So Sleepy sitting here with Loreal and Robin
I Loved watching all the big balloons go by and listening to all the marching bands! I even got to see my 2nd cousin Tony playing in the Rockwood marching band. He was playing the tuba!!
Just me and daddy staying warm while mommy takes our picture.
That parade wore me out!
We have many things to be thankful for this year. Many times people think Thanksgiving is just an extra day off or a time to eat until they can't eat anymore or a day to watch countless football games, but this year, Thanksgiving means so much more to us!
We have an amazing son to be thankful for this year. We are so thankful that we have a healthy active son.
We are thankful for all of our family and friends who have kept us in their prayers this year. Without all of your prayers, who knows what would have happened.
We are thankful that I (Rebecca) am here to enjoy this thanksgiving! The stray bullet that injured me in September could have done much more damage then it did. I am so very thankful that I can walk and have no lasting effects.
I have 7 teeth now..can you believe it? I have 4 teeth on the top now and 3 on the bottom. Mommy and daddy have tried to get a picture of all my teeth , but I only show them when they don't have the camera ready. Maybe when we take family pictures Friday,I'll show everyone!
I have decided that I like to eat the same foods as mommy and daddy. Last week, daddy made gnocchi for us. It was very very yummy! I even had to feed some to Homer after I fed myself that is. I made a mess everywhere. But mommy and daddy didn't seem to mind...they just laughed and took pictures...Hmmm I wonder if it will always be like that........
Since mommy is working on her masters and has to do a practicum, mommy and daddy had to find a babysitter for me. On Monday, mommy's friend Dusty comes over and watches me. I have so much fun playing with Dusty. Her and I even took a nap together the other day. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, Aunt Nicole comes to play and she brings Maribeth and Emi. At first I wasn't sure what to think of the girls, but now I think that I might actually like them. Although the first time Aunt Nicole, we were all quite a handful for her. I like playing with all my babysitters!
I wish someone would have told me how much it hurt to cut 4 teeth at one time!! For the last week, I have been working on getting 4 of my top teeth. Mommy and daddy have tried giving me Ibuprofen, Tylenol, teething tablets, orajel and nothing is helping. Mommy and daddy can see my teeth coming in. I hope they hurry up and come in because I want to go back to being my happy self. On top of my teeth, I've had a runny nose. I HATE getting my nose wiped. Mommy has found that giving me Sudafed helps with that. AND...as if that isn't enough for mommy and daddy, I have decided that I don't like my crib anymore. I wake up sometime between 2am and 4am and cry and cry and cry until mommy or daddy come in a take me out. They think that they are sneaky because they will rock me until I close my eyes and then they try to put me back in my bed. But I know that trick and I open my eyes and stand up and cry and cry and cry some more until finally they just take me to bed with them. I love being close to mommy and daddy, but I think that they wish I would sleep in my own bed again!
